Privacy Policy
Laurenceo is built to collect as little as possible. This policy explains what information the Laurenceo and Laurenceo Intelligence sites handle, who processes it and how to reach us about it.
In Short
- There are no accounts, sign-ups, comments, forms or newsletters on the site.
- The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
- There are no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and no third-party scripts, fonts or embeds.
- Your hosting provider's standard server logs are the only automatic record of a visit.
- Nothing a visitor does is sent to an AI model.
Who We Are
Laurenceo is an independent, non-commercial research project by Jorai Laurenceo, published in Bermuda. This policy covers laurenceo.com, including Laurenceo Intelligence at laurenceo.com/intelligence, and its former address intelligence.laurenceo.com, which redirects there. Questions about this policy can be sent to Jorai@JoraiLaurenceo.com.
What We Collect
Visiting the site. Like any website, the servers that deliver these pages receive your IP address, the page requested, the time, and technical details your browser sends such as its type and language. This is processed by our hosting provider to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose faults. We do not use it to identify visitors, build profiles or track you across sites.
Cookies and browser storage. The site does not set cookies and does not use local storage, session storage or similar technologies, so there is no cookie banner to accept.
Emailing us. If you email Jorai Laurenceo, for example to report a correction, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use them only to respond and to act on what you tell us, and we keep them for as long as needed for that purpose. We do not add you to mailing lists.
Laurenceo Intelligence and AI
Laurenceo Intelligence uses an AI model, Claude from Anthropic, to research public reporting and draft the daily briefing and forecast updates. What is sent to the model is public information gathered for that purpose and our own published data. No visitor information, such as IP addresses or messages, is sent to it. Briefings may name people and organisations as they appear in public sources. If you believe a published statement about you is wrong, email us and it will be handled under the corrections process described in How This Is Made.
Who Processes Data
- Vercel hosts the sites, delivers pages, runs the scheduled jobs and stores editions and forecast data. Its infrastructure may process server logs outside Bermuda, including in the United States.
- Anthropic provides the AI model used to produce editions, as described above. It receives no visitor data.
- GitHub holds the private source code of the sites. It holds no visitor data.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising.
Links to Other Sites
Pages link to sources and to other sites, such as LinkedIn and jorailaurenceo.com. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies. Links to our own pages open in the same tab. Links to outside sites may open in a new tab.
Your Choices and Rights
Laurenceo aims to handle personal information in line with Bermuda's Personal Information Protection Act 2016. You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing Jorai@JoraiLaurenceo.com. If you are not satisfied with a response, you can contact the Privacy Commissioner for Bermuda.
Children and Security
The site is written for adult professionals and is not directed at children. All pages are served over HTTPS, and the site collects so little that there is little to protect. We take reasonable steps to keep what we do hold, such as correspondence, secure.
Changes to This Policy
If how the site handles information changes, this page will be updated and the date below will change. If a change adds anything such as analytics or a mailing list, this policy will be updated before it goes live.
