New Bermuda company Verisov to credential and assess AI agents used by businesses

American entrepreneur Michael Dershem, chief executive of healthcare technology company Apierion, is building a new company in Bermuda aimed at bringing accountability to AI agents. The company, Verisov, will focus on credentialing and assessing AI agents used by businesses. Mr Dershem said oversight should focus on what an AI agent does rather than on the underlying technology.

Why it matters. Businesses are giving agents the power to take actions, not just to make recommendations. That creates demand for independent evidence of what an agent is permitted and able to do. Assessing behaviour rather than the underlying model fits how operational risk is already managed in regulated sectors. Buyers should still ask what testing methods and standards any credential rests on before relying on it.
