AI agent
Definition
An AI agent is a system in which an AI model plans and carries out multi-step tasks, using tools such as browsers, code, email or business applications, with some degree of autonomy. Agentic AI is the broader term for such systems.
Why It Matters
Agents act, not just advise, so the controls must cover permissions, approvals, logging and the ability to stop them.
