Bermuda-based mea study: 86% of insurance outsourcing buyers would renegotiate for AI efficiency
The study was commissioned by a vendor with an interest in the result, so the figures should be read as indicative, not neutral. Even so, they signal that buyers expect AI-driven efficiency to be reflected in pricing and service levels. Outsourcing providers and their insurance clients should expect these conversations at renewal.
What Happened
The Royal Gazette reports a study commissioned by mea Platform, a Bermuda-domiciled and headquartered agentic AI company for insurance. It found 86 per cent of insurance buyers of outsourced operations would renegotiate for AI efficiency or rework terms and service levels if contracts were renewed today. Of these, 64 per cent would renegotiate and 23 per cent would rework the contract outright. The study was published by ISG.
Why It Matters
The study was commissioned by a vendor with an interest in the result, so the figures should be read as indicative, not neutral. Even so, they signal that buyers expect AI-driven efficiency to be reflected in pricing and service levels.
